So since the “Interview Questions For A Technical Program Manager (TPM)” blog post was posted it has received a tremendous response from people who have found it helpful. I have received several requests from people across continents seeking guidance on how to become a technical program manager and useful tips for acing interviews.

What I find is that everyone is at a different stage in the process and at different levels of seniority. Some need help with their resumes, while others require insights into navigating the job market or help with the preparation for a technical or behavioral interview. Personally, it gives me great satisfaction to help gain a footing in the world of technical program management. 

Having changed careers 3 times, working for over 10 companies and having interviewed over a 100 tech people I can safely say that I possess a significant range of experience to mentor those who are seeking a career in this challenging profession.

Getting hired as a program manager is a very simplistic objective. It’s more important to find the right opportunity at the right organization based on  the skills and strengths possessed and one’s own personal preferences. At the end of the day you should be happy with the decision you make.
